ADD MORE LANGUAGES TO YOUR PROFILE – LEARN JAPANESE LANGUAGE
Language is the medium of transforming your thoughts into audible expressions that can be understood by others. A human infant, while not being able to express itself, still has its own language, in the form of various signs and gestures. When hungry or in pain, the infant cries. When it is happy, it smiles. In fear, it is yet another expression. Thus, these expressions communicated through various methods also qualify to be languages. But, these languages lack consistency and cannot be scripted either. Therefore, different societies, from time to time evolved their own languages to communicate with each other, within the society or among societies sharing identical moorings. Over a period, some of these languages increased in popularity and larger sections of the global society started adopting them. There are close to 7000 recognized languages around the world. But, at the top of the list today, are only about 12 languages reckoned as being used by the global community frequently. The rest have either become dormant or are used by macroscopic percentage of the global population. There are even languages listed under the 7000 odd, but spoken or understood by only single digit population.
The fast paced society today, comprises of several globe trotters. Most of our youngsters, particularly those engaged in the Information Technology sector, can be called upon to move from one continent to another or one hemisphere to the other at short or no notice at all. These youngsters particularly would do well to add as many foreign languages as possible, to their profile.
Learn Japanese Language:
To begin learning Japanese Language, you will need:-
- Decide the level of proficiency you want to achieve
- Draw up a time-table
- Identify appropriate resources from the Internet
- Be consistent in your effort
- Get going
Once into the learning path, you can even identify online tutorials to guide you through the process of your learning exercise. These tutorials can be particularly useful when you commence learning the Japanese Script. The Kana and Kanchi of the Japanese script can be a bit of a brainteaser at the beginning. Though Japan is among the developed countries, and enjoy leadership position in a multitude of engagements, Japanese, traditionally, have not emphasized the need to learn English as a global link language. Therefore, while on business, travel or professional engagement, to any Japanese location, it would help if you learn some Japanese, rather than expecting the Japanese to speak English. |
