Japan is a small nation in terms of geographical size. But, their culture, the industrious nature of its people, the resilience and their economic prowess are indeed superlative in character. After the atom bombs devastated Japan during the II World War, the Japanese people, as a nation, not only resurrected themselves into a resilient society, but also stand tall as a sterling example of how determination and strong will can change calamities into a whirlpool of opportunities. The modern Japan has achieved sterling success in a number of engagements, whether it is Engineering, Automotives, Automation, Electronics, Robotics and several other fields requiring the highest degree of expertise to remain competitive.
Unlike in most parts of the Asian region, despite its steep progress as an Industrialised nation, knowledge of English as a link language has failed to impress the Japanese society. Even when the Japanese stalwarts have the necessity to tour outside their domain, they either prefer to use interpreters or use their own language wherever possible.

Yet again, when we learn the Regional Language of a specific geographical territory, it enables us to gain greater insight into the culture, tradition, values, practices and the National character of that region.
Most of Japan’s population 75% or more is urban centric and the country side is sparsely populated. But, in the urban areas there is tremendous pressure for every bit of land that is available. The workaholic character of the Japanese is perhaps one major reason of this urban centric character of its population. Ever hear of that novel method of Industrial strikes in Japan – they produce goods/services in excess of what they are expected to, within a specific time frame to congest the storage facilities and other logistics associated with moving out finished goods.
